New
Products and Features
The
big news for Telestream
this year is the introduction
of a new class of
media solutions aimed at
dramatically simplifying
the way content owners and
creators access, organize
and share digital media.
Based on a media-sensitive
file system, Telestream’s
Media Application Platform
(MAP) has spawned a full
suite of distributed media
access products. At NAB2004,
Telestream introduces: the
new MAPx workgroup media
organizer; the MAP Enterprise
Edition which aggregates
content from any of the
individual MAP workgroup
solutions, providing visibility
and access to media over
wide area networks; and
the new MAPreviewsc
single-channel bundled solution
for live compliance recording
applications.
With
over 2,000 systems now installed
worldwide, Telestream’s
ClipMail MPEG encoding and
IP delivery appliances have
firmly established themselves
as the industry standard
for fast, efficient, high-quality
media delivery over broadband
networks. New, advanced
playback controls, which
allow users to easily jog
and shuttle through any
clip, are featured in Telestream
booth SU7183.
Telestream’s powerful
FlipFactory transcoding
automation workhorse continues
to feature support for many
new formats and systems,
providing interoperability
between legacy systems and
enabling tapeless digital
media workflows. At NAB2004
FlipFactory features expanded
media server support for
Pinnacle MediaStream, Omneon
Content and Director Media
Servers, and Leitch Nexio.
Telestream continues to
support the new MXF file
interchange standard with
encode and decode support
for the Sony SDCAM, eVTR
and MAV2000 video server.
Utilizing the MXF toolkit
from MOG Solutions, FlipFactory
can support integration
with any MPEG or
DV based standard MXF
system. New encoder/decoder
support includes HD support
for Windows Media 9 and
the Real 10 Helix encoder,
the H.264 encoder by Main
Concept, Avid DV QuickTime
encoder, and expanded QuickTime
encoder support.
New Telestream products,
features and a number of
partner integration solutions
are demonstrated in Telestream’s
booth SU7183 at this week’s
NAB convention in Las Vegas.
