Telestream Enhances MAPone Product Line
New models and breakthrough prices provide flexible
IP video delivery options for a greater number of users

Amsterdam, Netherlands - IBC Show - September 10, 2004 - Telestream, the world's leading provider of universal media access solutions for the media and entertainment industry, today announced that its award-winning MAPoneT personal IP media delivery application is expanding to include new models at lower prices. Initially introduced in March 2004 as a newsgathering and media organization application for the PC, MAPone now expands to include transmit-only models for both the PC and the Mac at prices under US$1,000. A new Content Services option adds media organization capabilities for PC users.

We are pleased to expand our MAPone offering to include low-cost models for both PC and Mac users and a Content Services option for the PC."

MAPone combines the latest compression and transmission technologies to provide an extremely flexible, affordable solution for high-quality media delivery. The MAPone software application runs alongside video editing applications on PC or Mac laptops or workstations. When editing is complete, clips are saved into preconfigured MAPone folders for automatic transcoding to efficient Windows Media 9 or MPEG-1 file formats and delivery over any Internet connection, including Wi-Fi and broadband connections commonly found at coffee houses, hotels, home studios and event venues.

A key MAPone component is Telestream's exclusive HyperMAPT media delivery protocol, included with both Mac and PC models. HyperMAPT enhances throughput over lossy, wireless wide area networks, automatically resumes transmission of interrupted transfers, adds encryption for security, and provides incoming file transfer management.

Media can be delivered to another Telestream MAPT product, an FTP or HTTP server, or to Telestream's FlipFactory ® for automated ingest and file transfer to destination devices. MAP also enables exporting of media binders, containing media, metadata and documents, to other MAP systems or networked folders. This feature is particularly useful for laptop users, as it enables them to offload files which frees up valuable space on their hard drives.

The MAPone Content Services option is available for the PC model only. It adds a number of media organization tools, including automatic metadata extraction, indexing, search, viewing of metadata during import, flipping to other formats, viewing options, and auto-archiving to DVD/CD.
