TELESTREAM, Tarari Partner to accelerate
production and delivery of digital media
Leader
in Automated Media Encoding and Delivery
over IP Networks now offers Tarari®
Encoder Accelerator
for
Windows Media®
San Diego and Nevada
City, Calif., February 27, 2006
- Telestream®, the world’s
leading provider of automated media
encoding and delivery solutions, and
Tarari® Inc., the award-winning
acceleration company, today announced
that Telestream is now offering the
Tarari® Encoder Accelerator for
Windows Media® with two of its
high-end digital media solutions,
Telestream FlipFactory® and Telestream
MAP®. The Telestream solutions
use the Tarari Encoder Accelerator
for Windows Media, a PCI-X bus card
that installs in any Microsoft Windows
XP or Windows Server 2003-based server,
to offload and accelerate the most
processor-intensive algorithms of
the Windows Media encoding applications.
This acceleration enables Telestream
customers to reduce the time and costs
associated with creating and sharing
digital media.
Telestream FlipFactory® is a quick, powerful and scalable way to automate transcoding and delivery of digital media. Telestream MAP products simplify the way content owners and creators access, organize, and share complex video and audio files across the enterprise. Both applications include encoding to standard Windows Media formats. The Tarari Encoder Accelerator for Windows Media is the industry’s only encoding solution that offers the performance benefit of hardware acceleration without any compromise in the quality of encoded content, and without requiring system developers to change their applications or existing hardware.
“By adding greater encoding speed and efficiency to our powerful solutions, Tarari’s acceleration technology allows our customers to encode full-resolution standard-definition and high-definition Windows Media more quickly. This dramatically improves workflow efficiency at companies that depend on moving complex video and audio files across the enterprise,” said Anna Greco, Director of Business Development and Product Marketing at Telestream.
“Telestream has leveraged Tarari’s encoder accelerator to raise the bar for digital media processing and delivery,” said Jim Wilson, CTO Microsoft Technologies at Tarari, Inc. “With the rapidly growing reliance on digital media in multiple industries, including everyday corporate communications, developers around the world continue to adopt the Tarari Encoder Accelerator for Windows Media to ensure their solutions continue to meet the demands of our fast-paced digital world.”
The Tarari Encoder Accelerator for Windows Media is now available from Telestream and Telestream resellers.
