Folder Monitoring Simplifies Submission of Source Media
Built-in automatic monitoring of local, network and FTP folders for arrival of new media, then automatic submission of media to an associated factory. Monitors also available for video servers, ClipMail appliances, and media delivery systems. Save media directly to folders for automatic submission to a factory or simply drag/drop media into a factory.

Transcode While Receiving
Speeds throughput by allowing transcoding to begin while a file is being ingested by Telestream’s Pipeline SDI network encoder or received from a ClipMail appliance and select broadcast servers or edit systems.

Video & Audio Preprocessing Support
Media processing enhanced with: mask filter for automatic conversion to 16:9, 14:9 or custom masked frames, a frame mode filter for controlling input video field/frame detection, audio level analysis with waveform generator, inverse telecine, automatic software updater, ability to re-submit jobs making restarts easy, audio/video fade in/out, hue rotation, saturation, sharpen, blur and RGB color rescale; audio channel mixing of up to 8 audio channels; nonlinear anamorphic rescaling, color channel remapping, and more.

Video Processing Filter Timecode Burn-in
Burns in detected timecode (either normal timecode or VITC or both) to media being processed (only timecode detected by FlipFactory will be burned in; controlled in the Video Analysis Process/Analyze component). Enables users to make frame-accurate edit decisions when viewing video on a system that does not display timecode.

MotionResolve®
Provides superior standards conversion quality, e.g. NTSC to PAL, up-conversion from SD to HD material and de-interlacing when transcoding from interlaced to progressive formats.

Overlays Can Be Added Anywhere in the Picture

FlipScan™ Option
Automatically scans and analyzes uploaded source video, audio and metadata, including user-generated content.  Enables validation and processing according to workflow rules you define, including: formats, codecs, screen size, bit rate, aspect ratio, and much more.

GraphicsFactory® Option
Applies multiple graphics layers such as QuickTime overlays, image overlays, text, with timeline-driven events such as fades and movie start/stops.

FactoryArray™ Option
Extends the power of FlipFactory from a single server to an array of servers working together to process jobs in the most efficient and secure manner possible. Includes: Intelligent load-balancing to distribute jobs across servers; Auto-failover protection to ensure uninterrupted job processing; Database mirroring to back up job workflow information and provide automatic recovery mechanisms for all workflows.

Closed Caption Extraction / Synthesis
Automatically extracts key attributes such as scene detection, key frame, closed caption, time code and audio levels from source media and provides them as metadata to media asset management systems (MAM) for search, retrieval and management. Enables VBI closed caption synthesis from alpha numeric formats.

Avid TransferManager Plug-in Option
Eliminates need for a separate import step - automatically imports media into Avid Unity media network or to an Avid editing system via the Avid Unity TransferManager - in the required Avid DV25/DV50 or IMX 30,40,50 format, wrapped in OMF or MXF.

Pipeline™ Encoder Integration
Automate live or tape-based encoding directly into FlipFactory using the Telestream Pipeline™ network encoder.

Screen Subtitling Integration
Full integration with Screen Subtitling software, allowing generation of open (burnt-in) subtitles from .STL, .PAC, and Lingua subtitle files for all supported video formats, including HD, SD, Mobile, IPTV, and web formats.

Integrated Flash 8 Video Encoding
Full integration with the On2 VP6 SDK for Flash 8 video in SWF and FLV wrappers.
