Edit

Once your screen capture is complete, you're transported to the ScreenFlow editor. ScreenFlow lets you easily add zoom & pan effects, trim clips, add drop shadow & reflection, adjust audio levels, etc. The intuitive interface makes editing your screencast easy and intuitive, so you can focus on the creative work of telling your story.

Multi-layer Track Editing

Screen Recording Highlights
During your screen capture, ScreenFlow tracks where your mouse cursor is, when you click and when you press a key. This allows you to add mouse click effects (both visual and audible) as an overlay showing your keystrokes and even lets you zoom the mouse pointer in and out.

Callouts let you highlight and focus in on the mouse, the front-most window, or any on-screen content. Want to circle the area around the mouse? Motion
ScreenFlow introduces actions to the editing interface. These make it very quick and easy to modify parameters of your screencast over time. For example, adding a video action lets you put zoom & pan effects on your clips, while the audio action lets you adjust volume at different points in your screencast.

Powerful Titling
ScreenFlow supports titling and text objects, including multiple fonts and styles, which enable you to add attractive titles to your screencasts.

Transitions
There are more than 20 sophisticated 2D and 3D video transition effects that you can add before, after and between your clips to add professional polish to your screencasts. As you push your clips together, transitions are created automatically, making it easier than ever to create stunning screencasts.

Clip Speed and Freeze Frames
Individually adjust the speed of your clips. If you need a segment to last a little longer, or want to demonstrate a time-lapse of your screen recording, you'll find the high-quality video & audio speed adjustments a powerful addition to your toolbox. You can also freeze a single frame of your video, to adjust to the pace of the audio, for example.

Advanced Audio Edits
With a single click, detach the audio from the video in the timeline. This allows you to edit the audio separately, and even copy/paste it into another project. Select Audio Ducking to automatically lower background music whenever a voice over plays.

NEW! Powerful Audio Quality Controls
New audio filters give you greater control over the quality of your audio. Remove background noise and smooth volume levels for better sound quality. View audio waveforms and clipped audio peaks directly in the timeline so you can see the effects of volume changes instantaneously.

Drag & Drop:
Drag and position content from your media list directly onto the main ScreenFlow video canvas. You can also drag and drop media (and copy and paste clips) from one open document to another.

Action Curves:
For finer-grain control, Action Curves let you set how your video actions are applied to your clips. For example, you can set motion to "ease-in" (start slow and speed up toward the end of the action), or "ease out" (start quickly, then slow down toward the end of the action).

Picture-in-Picture
With the simultaneous recording of computer desktop and camera, and with the support for various layers, you can easily include a picture-in-picture effect in your ScreenFlow video recording. While demoing a software, or presenting slides you can have a smaller picture of the demo artist or the presenter on top of the actual demo/presentation to make the experience for the viewer even closer to a real world presentation.

ScreenFlow lets you share your screencast with the broadest audience to be viewed in any media player. ScreenFlow supports export to any QuickTime format, including H.264 MOV for playback in the Flash media player. It also supports direct export to Windows Media video with the Flip4Mac Windows Media component. The variety of export formats allows you to produce content for any user, regardless what media player they prefer.

Export Quality
When resizing high resolution screen content into a QuickTime or Windows Media movie, ScreenFlow uses custom GPU algorithms to give your finished movie the best possible quality. You'll find even small text suddenly becomes legible for your viewers.

Export Settings
ScreenFlow comes with a number of preset export settings for optimal quality (such as Web, iPhone, NEW! iPad export setting and more). NEW! You can also create your own customized settings and save them for future use.

Convert your screencast to an all-in-one Flash video presentation, ready for easy upload straight to your website. The HTML, video and Flash player component are automatically created by ScreenFlow in a single step.

Export part of the time line:
You may want to quickly test your export settings or export a only a select portion of your screencast. You can do this easily by choosing just the section of your screencast you want to export. NEW! You can also choose to export only your audio track.

Document Packages
The ScreenFlow application gathers all the media used in your screencast into a document package when you save. This frees you from manually managing media on your disk and makes archiving and storing your screencasts a very simple process.
